The Milwaukee Brewers have made an addition to their front office, bringing in Thad Levine as a special advisor. He marks the third former General Manager to hold an advisor title in the organizations front office, as Levine was formerly the Minnesota Twins GM from 2016-2024.

Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Arnold speaks during an an end of season press conference at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023.

At 54 years old, Levine has been around the game for quite some time. In Minnesota the Twins made four playoff appearances when he was there. Prior to that he served in the Texas Rangers and Colorado Rockies organizations.

On the Brewers staff, Levine joins Doug Melvin and Matt Klentak as former general managers with advisory titles. This is his first job since stepping down in 2024. It is entirely possible that 2026 is a stop gap year for him before accepting a more prominent role elsewhere.
