Last year the Milwaukee Brewers drafted Jacob Misiorowski with the 63rd pick in the MLB draft. Some scouts labeled him as the steal of the draft. 2023 is his first full season of professional baseball and he is currently pitching in A ball with the Carolina Mudcats.
This season the Mudcats have been slowly building up the flame throwers pitch count. He’s been used as a starting pitcher and began the year by throwing 1-2 innings max throughout his first four starts. Since then he’s been working in the 3-4 inning range. On May 25 he put together his longest and best career pro outing that included five no-hit innings.
Milwaukee Brewers fourth ranked prospect Jacob Misiorowski put together his best career pro outing on May 25, 2023.
Against the Down East Wood Duck Jacob Misiorowski retired the first 14 batter that he faced. The 15th batter he faced he ended up hitting with a pitch. His final stat line ended up being five innings pitched, no hits allowed, no walks, and nine strike outs.
To go along with this impressive stat line Misiorowski generated 13 whiffs. Overall he threw 63 pitches with 31 of them being strikes. This was by far his best stat line of his pro career in regards to innings pitched and strikeouts.
Throughout 22.2 innings this season Jacob Misiorowski is holding batters to a .122 batting average against. His WHIP is an astonishing low 0.79 and he has a 16.28 K:9 ratio. Hopefully this Crowder product can continue to have success and progress through the minor leagues.
