Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta made his second career start at Coors Field on Tuesday May 2, 2023. His first start in the mile high city came five years ago. That was a historic start in the fact that it was not only his MLB debut, but he struck out 13 Colorado Rockies in that contest. In his most recent start, he impressed once again.

Fact #1:
Freddy Peralta recorded 10 strikeout’s against the Colorado Rockies. This is his first double digit strikeout game of the 2023 season. It also is the seventh of his career.

Fact #2:
During this game opposing batters whiffed on 25 different occasions against Freddy Peralta. This is not only a new career high for Peralta, but it is tied for the second most all time at Coors Field since statcast pitch tracking became available in 2008.
Fact #3:
Typically pitchers do not like throwing at Coors Field, but Freddy Peralta has had success there on both occasions. With his second double digit strikeout game he became the second visiting pitcher to ever record multiple 10+ strikeout games at Coors Field. The other pitcher to accomplish this is Randy Johnson who did this three times.
Game two out of three of the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies series will be on Wednesday night with the first pitch scheduled at 7:40. Two left-handed pitchers will be on the mound in Eric Lauer and Kyle Freeland.
