The day that Milwaukee Brewers and baseball fans everywhere have waited months for has finally arrived: pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training today. Coming off of season in which they surprised analysts by winning 93 games and the National League Central Division for the second year in a row (despite the departures of Craig Counsell and Corbin Burnes), Milwaukee is looking to repeat the regular season success they had last year, and also hopefully advance after the first round of the Playoffs.
Of course, the Brewers have seen two very crucial players depart this offseason. Closer Devin Williams was traded to the New York Yankees and shortstop Willy Adames signed with the San Francisco Giants in free agency.
Their roles, or at least those related to them, are now up for grabs, and will be won by any of the multiple players reporting for Spring Training.
