The Milwaukee Brewers resume regular season play tonight in their first series following the 2025 MLB All-Star Break with a three game road series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, whom they swept at home last week. Milwaukee will send Quinn Priester to the mound on Friday, who is 7-2 with a 3.55 ERA for the Brewers this season. Los Angeles will counter with Tyler Glasnow, who is 1-0 with a 3.52 ERA so far this year.
The Brewers will send Freddy Peralta (11-4, 2.66 ERA) to the mound on Saturday, and Jose Quintana (6-3, 3.28 ERA) on Sunday.
Unfortunately, Milwaukee is going to be without one of their most important players for the beginning for the second half of the season.
Milwaukee Brewers Right Fielder Sal Frelick Has Been Placed on the Injured List, Blake Perkins Activated

As play is set to resume today, the Brewers made a number of roster moves that will have an immediate impact on their team. Unfortunately, Gold Glove-winning right fielder Sal Frelick has been placed on the 10-day injured list.

Frelick had previously injured his hamstring against the Washington Nationals last week Sunday. He had been playing through some discomfort previously, but had aggravated his hamstring while stealing second base. And when he made an incredible catch in right field, his slide hurt it even more.
Milwaukee had hoped that the few days off due to the All-Star Break would have been enough to help him get healthy, but he was diagnosed with a grade-one hamstring strain and is going to miss some time.
Frelick is hitting .294/.354/.404 with seven home runs, 39 RBI, and 17 stolen bases this season.
But while losing Frelick is unfortunate, the Brewers did get some good news on another one of their outfielders, one who has not played yet this season.
Blake Perkins, who was himself a Gold Glove finalist in centerfield last season, has finally been activated after missing all of the season thus far with a broken leg.
As a rookie last season, Perkins hit .240/.316/.332 with six home runs, 43 RBI, and 23 stolen bases.
Nestor Cortes, whom Milwaukee expects to have back in 10-14 days, has also started his rehab assignment. He has made just two starts for the Brewers this season after being acquired from the New York Yankees in the trade that shipped Devin Williams out of town.
