Here we take a look at the Milwaukee Brewers roster. This includes the 40-man roster as well as active roster.
Baseball rosters consist of both a 26-man active roster and a 40-man roster. The 26-man active roster indicates which players are in uniform and eligible to play in a Major League game. 40-man rosters include a combination of players on the 26-man roster, the 7-, 10-, and 15-day injured lists, the bereavement/family medical emergency list and the paternity leave list, as well as some Minor Leaguers.
In order for a club to add a player to the 26-man roster, that player must be on the 40-man roster. Minor League players can move back and forth from the Major and Minor Leagues as long as they have options remaining. If this occurs, they are removed from a team’s active 26-man roster but remain on the 40-man roster. There are circumstances in which players can refuse to be optioned to the Minors or have to pass through waivers prior.
Here we will take a look at the Brewers current 26-man and 40-man rosters.
