Need a little diversion from all the post-Packers “wait until next season” discussion and analysis? Tired of the “all-too-early” banter about the 2023 NFL Draft boards?
Need a little light-hearted Brewers content?
Well, here you go.
356 Milwaukee Brewers pitchers have won a game for the Crew
The website baseball-reference.com shows that there have been 356 different pitchers who have won a game for the Brewers in their 54-year history. Topping the list is Jim Slaton with 117 career wins for the Brew Crew. But did you know that Eric Yardley, who pitched for Milwaukee in 2020 and 2021 is also on the list of winningest pitchers in the team’s history.
Yardley, who won two games for the Brewers in 2020, is on the team’s list for most wins by a Brewers’ pitcher whose last name started with the letter Y. Not only is Yardley the only pitcher with the last name starting with Y to win a game for the Brewers, but he is also the only Y pitcher to pitch in a game for Milwaukee in their history.

What about Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff?
For the record, the Brewers top two current pitchers, Corbin Burnes, and Brandon Woodruff, do not make the list. Woodruff is second with 41 wins behind Bill Wegman’s 81, and Burnes is fourth among B pitchers with 35 wins, behind Bosio’s 67, Ricky Bones with 47 and Dave Bush with 46.
Two other members of the current staff are third in their categories: Eric Lauer and Freddie Peralta.
