The Milwaukee Brewers came from behind on Tuesday night to defeat the Colorado Rockies by a score of 4-3. This marked their 26th come from behind victory and of their last six wins they had been losing at various points during each game. Following the game on July 2 manager Pat Murphy commented on the team and also had some good jokes as well.
Milwaukee Brewers defeat the Colorado Rockies 4-3 on Tuesday, July 2.

It was a frustrating day at the plate for the Brewers on Tuesday night as they trailed 2-3 entering the ninth inning. They previously had a run cut down at home plate in the seventh inning and the usually reliable reliever Bryan Hudson gave up the go-ahead run in the eight inning.
In the ninth inning they managed to string together several good and long at-bats, had two infield singles, tied the game on a SAC fly, and scored the eventual game winning run via a bases loaded hit by pitch. Overall the team finished 4-15 with runners in scoring position. Post game Pat Murphy said the following about the teams ninth inning approach.
“You just stay in the present. Pitch by pitch. It sounds cliche but you have to be mentally tough and not leave the zone… That mental toughness you can do without hitting the ball hard.”
-Pat Murphy
Pat Murphy post game press conference jokes following a victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Per the usual manager Pat Murphy had some good jokes during his post game press conference. When talking about his pitching tonight he acknowledged that this is a tough place to pitch. He then joked by saying, “We gotta play them (Rockies) and we got to play them here. We asked for them (MLB) to move the games but they wouldn’t do it.”
Later on Pat Murphy was also asked about his thoughts on Dallas Keuchel’s second start. Keuchel, a 36 year old veteran in this league, finished with 5.1 innings pitched, four hits allowed, two walks, five strikeouts, and two earned runs. Murphy said, “He was a big lift for us. I remember watching him pitch when I was a teenager.” Immediately he was asked what year was that and he jokingly responded, “When I was a teenager.”
Will Dallas Keuchel make a third start for the Milwaukee Brewers?

After acquiring Keuchel via trade for one dollar he now has made two starts for the Brewers. He only made it through four innings his first time against the Texas Rangers, but his second start against Colorado and at Coors Field was much better. If he can continue to cover five innings and keep Milwaukee in the ball game there may be a long term role for him and he certainly is deserving of a third start with the organization.
