The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Kansas City Royals 4-3 on Saturday night. Star outfielder Christian Yelich had a multi-home run game and rookie Joey Wiemer recorded his first career walk-off in the ninth inning. Overall it was a good game as the Brew Crew won their second game in a row against the Royals.

To begin the ninth inning Brian Anderson hit a single off of Carlos Hernandez. Owen Miller later doubled to set up runners on second and third with just one out. That is when Joey Wiemer’s heroics took place as he delivered a deep fly ball to center field that allowed the Brewers to win courtesy of a walk-off SAC fly.

Joey Wiemer has been the every day centerfielder since Garrett Mitchell got injured. Defensively he has been one of the leagues best. At the plate he has had his ups and downs so hopefully this walk-off SAC fly can spark a hot streak for him.
The Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals will wrap up their series on Mother Day as the Brew Crew will be looking to sweep the Royals.
