The Brewers had a dreadful month of May but are coming off of back to back series series wins in which they had the opportunity to sweep both. Joey Wiemer is on an absolute tear at the plate, Willy Adames has returned from injury, and Corbin Burnes just put together an eight inning scoreless game. There is a lot of optimism in Milwaukee right now as they have reclaimed first place in the National League Central.
Oakland Athletics (14-50) News
Not a lot has gone Oakland’s way this season. They have the worst record in baseball, worst run differential (-200), and their pitching staff has struggled. Former Brewer Esteury Ruiz has been a bright spot offensively with 29 stolen bases along with Brent Rooker, but this low payroll team is a ways away from being competitive.
