The Milwaukee Brewers starting rotation has had a bad run with the injury bug this year. Brandon Woodruff is currently out with a sub scap strain, Aaron Ashby underwent surgery on his throwing shoulder, and Adrian Houser recently came back from a groin issue. Now left-handed veteran Wade Miley will be heading to the injured list as he sustained a LAT strain against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Wade Miley’s injury appeared to come on rather rapidly. He had a nine pitch 1-2-3 first inning and was two outs into his second inning of work when catcher William Contreras called time and pointed to the Brewers dugout. This sparked Craig Counsell and the athletic trainer to come out onto the field in which he was removed from the game after a brief conversation.

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Wade Miley will be placed on the injured list with a LAT strain.
Following the game the Milwaukee Brewers indicated that Wade Miley’s injury will cost him a trip to the injured list. He will be evaluated by doctors in Milwaukee and the team was unable to provide any indication if this will cost him a significant amount of time or not.
Unfortunately Wade Miley does have an extensive injury history for he has been on the injured list nine different times from 2017-2022. He’s arguably been the Brewers best starting pitcher this year, so his loss will have an impact going forward.
