For the Milwaukee Brewers and everyone else the calendar has flipped to May. This has given players all across the board roughly one month of game action. Even when not playing, players are constantly being analyzed and shuffled between different minor league affiliates and locations. With that being said, the organization announced several minor league moves including a few promotions and demotions.
In this article we will take a look at three of the organization’s most recent minor league moves.
Three big Milwaukee Brewers minor league moves.
Moving up to Triple-A Nashville is right-handed pitcher Ryan Middendorf. Middendorf was a former Schamburg Boomer. The Brewers have signed quite a few players from Schamburg in years past including reliever Jake Cousins.
This move is a bit surprising because he had appeared in just 29 career MiLB games. During that time he has pitched exceptionally well. Across four levels in 2022 he had a 2.34 ERA in which he struck out 61 batters over 42.1 innings pitched.
Minor League roster moves:
• OF Luis Lara & RHP Will Rudy ➡️ CAR (A)
• RHP Ryan Middendorf & IF/OF Isaac Collins ➡️ NSH (AAA)
• RHP Cam Robinson & OF Joe Gray ➡️ BIL (AA)
• RHP Edwin Jimenez & OF Eduarqui Fernandez ➡️ WIS (A+)#ThisIsMyCrew

Heading in the wrong direction is. Cam Robinson. He busted out with a big season in 2022 and the Brew Crew thought highly enough of him to protect him in the Rule-5 draft by adding him to the 40-man roster last offseason. He got off to a bit of a rocky start at Triple-A Nashville and will now spend some time in Biloxi with the Shuckers.

Last up is outfielder Luis Lara being promoted to the Carolina Mudcats. The 18 year old international signee out of Venezuela is currently the Brewers 14th ranked prospect. It will be interesting to see what he can accomplish on a roster that also features outfielders Jace Avina and Hedbert Perez.
A few other minor league Milwaukee Brewers roster moves occurred as well. They are outlined in the tweet from Brewers player development below.
• OF Skye Bolt placed on 7-day IL (AAA)
• RHP Robert Stock & C Brent Diaz placed on Development list
• RHP Joey Matulovich has been released
• LHP Anfernny Reyes, C Edgardo Ordonez, RHP Cristofher Carrasco, & RHP Darling Solano transferred to Extended Spring Training
