The Milwaukee Brewers will continue its road trip on Monday when they next head to Miami, Florida to face the Miami Marlins. The pitch of this game will be at 5:40 p.m. CT. Over the weekend, the Brewers lost two-out-of-three games against the surging Houston Astros.

As for the Marlins, they took two-out-of-three against the New York Mets this weekend. Miami is in last place in the National League East with a 15-33 record.

As for the Brewers, they are in first place in the National League Central with a 27-19 record. Milwaukee has exceeded expectations at this point of the season with Pat Murphy as the manager.

In this matchup, the projected starting pitchers will be Joe Ross (2-4 record, 4.61 ERA) for the Milwaukee Brewers and Ryan Weathers (2-4 record, 3.81 ERA) for the Miami Marlins.

Catcher William Contreras is projected to be the leadoff hitter for Milwaukee. In 46 games, he has a .341 batting average with seven home runs and 37 RBIs, along with three stolen bases. His on-base percentage is .416.

Shortstop Willy Adames is projected to bat second for the Brewers against Miami. He has a .239 batting average with seven home runs and 29 RBIs, along with eight stolen bases and one caught stealing attempt. His on-base percentage is .317. It is smart for the Brewers to have its two best hitters at the top of the order.

Joe Ross has pitched in eight games so far this season for the Milwaukee Brewers. He has pitched in 41 innings and has given up 41 hits and 25 runs. Ross has also walked 15 batters and has struck out 35 batters.

Players To Watch For On the Miami Marlins Against the Milwaukee Brewers

Miami Marlins manager Skip Schumaker led this team to the playoffs last season, but this season has been totally different. Miami is one of the worst teams in baseball, but they will have some players to look out for in this series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Designated hitter Bryan De La Cruz is projected to bat second for the Marlins. He has a .260 batting average with nine home runs and 25 RBIs, along with one stolen base. His on-base percentage is .308.

First baseman Josh Bell is projected to bat third for Miami. He has a .229 batting average with six home runs and 24 RBIs, along with zero stolen bases. His on-base percentage is .313.

Ryan Weathers has started in nine games this season for the Miami Marlins and is one of the best-starting pitchers on the roster. He has pitched in 49.2 innings and has given up 42 hits and 23 runs. Weather has walked 16 batters and has struck out 38 batters.

This is a series that the Brewers can very well sleep against the Marlins. However, Milwaukee will continue its road trip and they can’t afford to lose this series against Miami.
