After their willpower wasn’t enough to handle the Cincinnati Reds in game one of their four-game series, the Milwaukee Brewers made sure to send a message to their divisional rival with a 9-5 win on the road. At one point during this matchup, the Brewers held a 9-1 lead. Milwaukee compiled 13 hits, while none of the guys in the lineup weren’t able to go yard.
The win puts the Brewers at 7-3. They sit a game behind the 9-3 Pittsburgh Pirates for first place in the NL Central division. For the Reds, they drop to 6-5, they’re fourth in the NL Central and two and a half games behind the Pirates for first place. This next game should be interesting between these two teams, as both division rivals will not only look to get ahead in the series but ahead in the division as well.
