On Sunday the Milwaukee Brewers Triple-A affiliate team in the Nashville Sounds announced a big roster transaction as they placed their best hitter in Keston Hiura on the seven day injured list. No details have been announced from the team regarding the nature of his injury.
Flourishing Milwaukee Brewers Triple-A slugger placed on the seven day injured list.
At the time Keston Hiura was placed on the injured list he ranked near the top of the league in several offensive categories. Through 32 games he has a .331/.396/.678/1.074 slash line with 12 home runs and 33 runs batted in. During this stretch his strikeout rate is down to 24.6%.
Given Keston Hiura’s strong performance there was some speculation that a return to the big leagues was on the horizon. If the Brewers were considering this he would have to first be re-added to the 40-man roster. Regardless those thoughts are now on hold.
Hopefully whatever is sidelining Keston Hiura from playing won’t keep him out long.
