On Friday, Bryse Wilson was scratched from being the Brewers starting pitcher and Jared Koenig replaced him. Manager Pat Murphy did this due to the challenge that the Red Sox top of the order left handed hitters possess. Koenig ended up getting into a slight jam and only recorded the first two outs before being replaced by Wilson.

The only other pitcher to start consecutive games in the history of the Milwaukee Brewers is Zack Greinke.

A first inning ejection on 7/7/2012 led to Greinke starting again on 7/8/2012. He then started the first game after the All-Star break on 7/13/2012.
