It seems like just about every time Jacob Misiorowski takes the mound for the Milwaukee Brewers, he does something to make franchise or Major League history. Earlier this season, he became the first pitcher in the modern era to toss 11 no-hit innings to begin his Major League career. After his third start, he became just the second pitcher in franchise history to win his first three games in the Majors.

Logan Henderson was the first, and he accomplished the feat earlier this year.

And on Tuesday, pitching against the Los Angeles Dodgers, he joined an elite list of Brewers pitchers with his prolific number of strikeouts early in the game.

After giving up a leadoff home run to Shohei Ohtani, Misiorowski struck out three Dodgers batters. And while he has scattered a couple of hits here and there, he was dominated Los Angeles hitting.

After three innings of work, Misiorowski had eight strikeouts, making him the fourth Brewers pitcher ever to have that many punchouts through three frams.

Jacob Misiorowski is the fourth Brewers pitcher in the pitch tracking era (since 2008) to strike out 8+ over the first 3 innings of a game, joining Corbin Burnes, Brandon Woodruff and Yovani Gallardo.

As one can see, the other three are Yovanni Gallardo, Corbin Burnes, and Brandon Woodruff.

That is not bad company to be in.

Misiorowski added two more strikeouts in the fourth inning, bringing his total to ten. Only Burnes has had that many strikeouts through four frames in franchise history:

Jacob Misiorowski’s 10 strikeouts ties Corbin Burnes’ mark for the most Ks through 4 innings by a Brewers pitcher in the pitch tracking era.

It’s one shy of the top mark by any pitcher since 2008. https://t.co/HMJTFFdC8M

And with two more strikeouts in the fifth, giving him 12, Misiorowski has the second-most punchouts of any pitcher in Major League Baseball through five innings in the pitch tracking era (which began in 2008):

Jacob Misiorowski’s 12 strikeouts are tied for the most Ks through 5 innings by any pitcher in a game this season*.

One off the top mark in the pitch tracking era of 13. https://t.co/HnA7HJtlTM

Needless to say, the Brewers have a good one.

(As of this writing, Milwaukee is winning 2-1 against Los Angeles).
