The Milwaukee Brewers have done it again. Against all odds, they have managed to win the National League Central division title, which happened even before they played against the Philadelphia Phillies at home on Wednesday, as the Chicago Cubs lost to the Oakland Athletics at Wrigley Field on the same night, 5-3.
Without a doubt, one of the biggest reasons the Brewers have become the king of the division is rising star Jackson Chourio, who isn’t even old enough to consume alcohol. Speaking of which, Chourio’s teammates made sure he still got to enjoy some beverage to celebrate the team’s success.

Despite being just 20 years old, Chourio has constantly proven his worth for the Brewers. In Milwaukee’s 2-1 win over the Brewers, Chourio went 1-for-4 and scored the game-winning run in the ninth inning off of a single from first baseman Jake Bauers. So far in the 2024 NFL regular season, the young Venezuelan is batting .273/.328/.472 with 21 home runs, 77 RBIs, and 20 stolen bases. He has a 121 OPS+ and a 3.7 fWAR, which is third-best on the team.
Jackson Chourio, Milwaukee Brewers still have work to do
Even though they have won the NL Central title agan, the Brewers have reason to keep their foot on the gass. With an 88-64 record and 10 more games left on their schedule, the Brewers can still catch up on the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Phillies for the No. 1 seed in the NL. The Brewers are just behind the Phillies by three games and just a game back of the Dodgers.
The Brewers, who have won five of their last seven outings, will next host the Arizona Diamondbacks for a four-leg set that will begin this Thursday evening.
