Milwaukee Brewers 19 year old prospect Jackson Chourio has been in baseball headlines after inking a historic contract extension. His eight year, $82 million deal is the largest that any player has received prior to making their MLB debut.
This winter the outfielder had been participating in the Venezuelan Winter League. Across 17 games he slashed .379/.453/.530 with one home run, five doubles, and six runs batted in. On top of that he was selected to participate in the Pepsi home run derby against some elite competition.
