The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off of the best regular season in their franchise’s history. They won a club record 97 games and were the top seed in the National League and won their first playoff series, a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Cubs, since 2018. However, they were swept out of the National League Championship Series by the Los Angeles Dodgers, showing that they still have some work to do before they can take the next step to World Series contention.
Indeed, as good as the regular season was for the Brewers, the last month of the year as well as the playoffs showed that their pitching depth and lack of power are needs that need to be addressed this winter. And while they are not linked to any free agent home run hitters, they are in the market for some bullpen depth.
And they are willing to part ways with some of their young outfielders in order to get it.
The Milwaukee Brewers are shopping Isaac Collins and Blake Perkins

Earlier this week, the Brewers signed a pair of young and fast outfielders. Greg Jones was signed to a minor league deal with an invitation to Spring Training, and Akil Baddoo was signed to a split contract and added to the 40-man roster.
Adding this outfield depth would indicate that Milwaukee, who also has Jackson Chourio and Sal Frelick locked into the corner outfield positions, are looking at making a change to their depth pieces.
And according to The Athletic, either Isaac Collins or Blake Perkins could be on the move:
“The Milwaukee Brewers are looking to trade off their outfield depth, most likely by moving Isaac Collins or Blake Perkins for a reliever with minor-league options remaining.”
The report states that the oft-injured Garrett Mitchell is still the Brewers’ top choice to be their starting centerfielder, with Brandon Lockridge, who was acquired at the trade deadline last season, as the fourth outfielder.
Collins finished fourth in the NL Rookie of the Year voting after hitting .263/.368/.411 with nine home runs, 64 RBI, and 16 stolen bases.
Perkins, who missed the start of the season with a broken leg, hit .226/.298/.348 with three home runs and 19 RBI in 54 games.
Collins could draw interest from multiple clubs as he is an above-average defender and a switch hitter. Perkins, also a switch hitter, is a Gold Glove caliber centerfielder that will provide value to any team that he is on.
