Milwaukee Brewers fans, and several other fan bases as well, are very familiar with Regional Sports Networks (RSN). Fox Sports Wisconsin was the host of Brewers baseball games for quite some time until they switched over to Bally Sports. Bally is owned by the Diamond Sports Group and they unfortunately have gone bankrupt.

Earlier this offseason there were reports that Diamond Sports Groups had negotiated a way to continue providing streaming services for the entire 2024 baseball season with the intention of someone else taking over in 2025. Now the Wall Street Journal is indicating that a major company is in discussions to obtain the RSN streaming rights.
Amazon is reportedly in discussions to obtain streaming rights for Regional Sports Networks and they could become the new home for Milwaukee Brewers games.
Supposedly Diamond Sports Group and Amazon are in discussions for a multi year streaming partnership. A deal could potentially allow Diamond Sports Group to stave off liquidation while also keeping baseball games accessible. A bankruptcy judge would have to give a final stamp of approval in order for this to all happen.
At this point it is unclear how far along in the process Amazon and Diamond Sports Group are. It also is not known how much Amazon plans on investing. Milwaukee would have to be an in-market customer of Amazon in order for Brewers games to be streamed on their platform.

Amazon has already dipped their toes into the water in the sports streaming world by airing Thursday night football games. Taking on several Regional Sports Networks would be a big jump, but it could be a significant investment for them long term.
