Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets fans saw intense rainfall make its way into American Family Field on Saturday night, despite the roof being closed. The situation got scarier once the ball game ended, with numerous vehicles getting stuck in feet of water just outside the stadium. Altogether, Milwaukee received 13 inches of rain.

Milwaukee Brewers altered the parking strategy for finale against New York Mets despite 1/2 the parking being inaccessible

Hours before the Brewers and Mets finale, Milwaukee’s social media accounts released a statement indicating that the game will go on as scheduled, despite half of parking lots being inaccessible to traffic due to access roads being under water. With the game being sold out, the team elected to credit fans who didn’t attend with tickets and/or prepaid parking to any other 2025 regular season game.

Why did the Brewers elect to play the game as scheduled?

President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said the decision to play wasn’t taken lightly, but emphasized two key factors: the stadium remained unaffected by the rain, and the Mets aren’t scheduled to return to Milwaukee for the rest of the regular season.
