Milwaukee’s station for sports talk 97.3 The Game recently had a segment where there was an intense discussion regarding one Brewers player.  The debate revolved around one controversial hitter who has struggled at the major league level but excelled in the minor leagues.  That player is Keston Hiura.

John Kuhn and Armen Saryan have a fiery debate revolving around Milwaukee Brewers hitter Keston Hiura.

The topic starts by talking about how much Keston Hiura is raking right now.  At the Triple-A level with the Nashville Sounds he is currently slashing .314/.385/.657/.1.042 with 10 home runs and 26 RBI.  His strikeout rate has also decreased to 26%.

ICYMI: “I still believe there’s a hitter in there” – Do you think it’s time for Keston Huira to get another shot with the #Brewers? @kuhnj30 @Brian_Butch @ArmenSaryan @Palermo_Villa @Nine2Noon pic.twitter.com/J1EGkYp6ir

    — 97.3 The Game (@TheGameMKE) May 8, 2023

During the debate, Armen Saryan says, “This guy (Keston Hiura) is still 25 and I believe that there is a hitter in there because he shows it every time he goes down.  Now we know about AAAA players, but with an offense like this don’t you think you have to give him a shot?”

John Kuhn fires back with, “.765 (OPS in 2022) that would make him sixth on the team currently.  I maintain this.  It’s not that I believe that Keston Hiura is suddenly a changed man, but I think that Keston Hiura is good enough to spark some energy into this lineup.”

Ultimately both guys believe that giving Keston Hiura another chance is worth it.  The full debate can be heard by clicking below.
