Milwaukee Brewers play-by-play man Bob Uecker is more than just a legend for the Brewers. He is a national treasure. After Milwaukee’s 2-1 win at home over the Philadelphia Phillies, Brewers manager Pat Murphy showed love to Murphy with a special message for the 90-year-old former MLB player.
“There is no one who epitomizes a champion the way this man does right here, there is no one out here,” Murphy said in the clubhouse. “What an example to be with us every single day. Bob Uecker!”
While players were pouring champagne on Uecker, he blurted out a hilarious reaction in classic Uecker style: “I peed my pants!”

Uecker’s statement only left fans loving the legend more.
“Love Uek, so happy he gets to experience playoff baseball one more time. You never know when you’ve seen your last playoff game until it’s too late.”
“This is why we love Uecker—never a dull moment!””
“Pat with the serious praise and Uecker with the comic relief, perfect combo!”
“Bob Uecker, always keeping it real! 😂””
“Wrap that man in bubble wrap and get him a Ring!”
The Milwaukee Brewers have the NL Central title in the bag but the job is not done
The celebratory mood for Uecker and the Brewers actually started even before the Phillies game started, as Milwaukee officially clinched the National League Central division title when the Chicago Cubs lost to the Oakland Athletics earlier. But Milwaukee made its night even better by defeating the Phillies to come within just three games from the top spot in the NL overall – a place currently occupied by the Phillies.
The Brewers, who improved to 88-64, are third in the NL overall and also trail the Los Angeles Dodgers for the No. 2 seed by only a game.
The Brewers will look to keep the party going this Thursday when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks for the start of a four-game series at American Family Field.
