The Milwaukee Brewers swept the New York Mets to begin the 2024 season. It will be interesting to see what happens with the lineups over the weekend. The projected starting pitchers for this matchup will be Sean Manaea (12-5 record, 3.29 ERA) for the Mets and Frankie Montas (7-11, 4.85 ERA) for the Brewers.
The Milwaukee Brewers’ Potential Lineup Against the New York Mets
Pat Murphy, the manager, of the Brewers is focused on having his team ready to compete in the playoffs next week. There is a chance that they could face the Mets two series in a row.
Left fielder Jackson Chourio is projected to bat leadoff for Milwaukee against the Mets. He has played in 145 games this season. Center fielder Blake Perkins is projected to bat second for the Milwaukee Brewers. He has played in 118 games this season. Perkins has a .244 batting average with six home runs and 43 RBIs, along with 22 stolen bases and five caught stealing attempts. His on-base percentage is .319.
Frankie Montas has pitched in 10 games this season with Milwaukee. He has pitched in 53.1 innings and has given up 45 hits and 31 runs. Montas has also walked 22 batters and has struck out 64 batters.
New York Mets Lineup
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza has his team knocking on the door for a potential playoff spot. They have an 87-70 record and are competing for a spot with the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Atlanta Braves. New York needs to win this series against the Brewers.

The Milwaukee Brewers need to make sure no one gets hurt in this series before the playoffs. As for the New York Mets, they are fighting for a postseason spot.
