The Milwaukee Brewers scored another win on Friday, as they demolished the Cincinnati Reds in a 14-0 victory in the second game of a doubleheader at the Great American Ball Park.
The Brewers’ bats and pitching were humming all throughout the contest, as clearly shown in the final score. DL Hall, who just got recalled from Triple-A Nashville, put together a splendid performance on the mound, giving up just four hits, no earned runs, and just a walk while striking out five Cincinnati hitters in seven innings of work.
DL Hall shines in win against the Reds
“It is definitely a good feeling just to pitch deep into the game,” Hall said after the game (via Gary Schatz of the Associated Press).
“I finally feel like myself again. It has been a continuous thing for the past six or seven weeks just keeping my head down and not stopping until I figured it out. … I want to help the Brewers win. I want to help any way I can. Part of that today was covering some innings.”
Hall has been sent down to the minors again after what can be considered his best performance in a major league game. He can be expected to pitch again for the Brewers this season.
After beating the Reds twice on Friday, the Brewers have extended their win streak to four games. They have also won six of their last eight games, improving their record to 79-56 – 10 games ahead of their rivals in the National League Central division.
