The Milwaukee Brewers have already announced their coaching staff for the 2026 MLB season, which included several noteworthy changes. Rickie Weeks, who had spent the past two years as the associate manager under Pat Murphy was reassigned back to the front office. Former first baseman Daniel Vogelbach rejoined the organization as a hitting coach as well.
But while the team settled on their Major League coaching staff, they are still busy filling vacant roles within their minor league system, which saw multiple coaches leave for jobs on the Major League level with other teams.
And it sounds like one job is going to be filled by a local baseball coach who has a history of developing Major League players.
The Milwaukee Brewers have hired Concordia University Wisconsin baseball coach Eddy Morgan

According to several posts on X (formerly Twitter), the Brewers are hiring Eddy Morgan, the head baseball coach at Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) for a presumed coaching role within their organization:
The #Brewers have had some of their minor league coaching talent pilfered (prominently Victor Estevez to be the Nationals’ 3rd base coach), but here’s an apparent hire for a “to be named” role – Morgan’s Coaching Bio is at this link https://t.co/2LJGz4Bfiw https://t.co/vvhcP5J7MK

According to Moragn’s biography on CUW’s website, he had a 248-211 record as the Falcons’ head coach in a tenure that spanned 12 years. He is also the all-time wins leader for a coach at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
In addition to his coaching work at Concordia, Morgan also was the manager of the Lakeshore Chinooks of the Northwoods League from 2013-2017. Current Brewers third baseman Caleb Durbin is a product of that particular league.
During his time as manager of the Chinooks, Morgan worked with and helped develop current Major League players Harrison Bader, Brian Anderson, Zack Granite, and Andrew Stevenson.
