The Milwaukee Brewers are coming off of their best regular season in franchise history. They won a Major League-best 97 games and were the top seed in the National League. Additionally, the Brewers won their first postseason series since 2018, defeated the Chicago Cubs 3-2 in the National League Divisional Series.
As has been the case during this stretch of consistent winning in Milwaukee, the team relied on its homegrown stars to lead them to success. Fan-favorite stars like Brice Turang, Sal Frelick, Freddy Peralta, and, most recently, Jacob Misiorowski, played huge roles throughout the course of the season and, for the most part, will be fixtures on the roster for years to come.
Indeed, the Brewers have developed one of the best minor league systems in all of baseball, and that is even more evident by the number of prospects they had poached in the Rule 5 Draft this year.
6 Milwaukee Brewers prospects taken by other MLB teams in Rule 5 Draft

According to David Gasper of The Game MKE, the Brewers had six of their prospects taken by other MLB teams in the minor league portion of this year’s Rule 5 Draft:
One of the downsides to having a top farm system is that other teams want your players

Among the players taken was outfielder Hedbert Perez, who at one time was one of Milwaukee’s top prospects. In five minor league seasons, though, he has not been able to advance past Double-A, and even played just four games at that level in 2025.
Milwaukee did, though, take right-handed pitcher Cole Phillips from the Seattle Mariners to add to their deep organizational pitching depth. A former second-round pick by the Atlanta Braves in 2022, Phillips has yet to make his professional baseball debut due to injuries.
Phillips was actually taken six spots ahead of Misiorowski that year.
