When David Stearns was the man in charge of the Milwaukee Brewers, he executed a trade with the Cleveland Guardians in November of 2021. That trade landed the Brew Crew pitcher J.C. Mejia. In return Cleveland received a player to be named later. David Fry ended up being that player and he now has been promoted to the big leagues by the Guardians.
Called up to the big leagues for the first time, David Fry reflects on hearing the good news from @CLBClippers manager Andy Tracy, delivering that good news to his parents, and how his versatility has helped him reach this point.#ForTheLand | @DreKnott pic.twitter.com/Ur2wS3ygOV

Former Milwaukee Brewers and Cleveland Guardians PTBNL David Fry has been promoted to the Major Leagues.
David Fry was drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 MLB draft by the Milwaukee Brewers. The 27 year old right handed first baseman is being promoted to the Cleveland Guardians with the hope of helping the team hit against left-handed pitchers.
In 25 minor league games this year, David Fry had a .289/.381/.478 slash line with two home runs and 15 RBI. His career high in home runs throughout his minor league career is 17, which he accomplished during both the 2019 and 2022 seasons.
For the Brewers, they have not seen much of J.C. Mejia. He was suspended 80 games in 2022 and has spent some time this year on their development list.
