The Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds played a wild game on Saturday afternoon at Great American Ballpark. Milwaukee tallied 10 runs in total by scoring in each of the first four innings. Cincinnati trailed by seven runs at one point, rallied late, had the winning run on base in the ninth inning, and lost by a final score of 10-8.
For the Brewers there were some big highlights. Jon Singleton returned to the big leagues for the first time since 2015, Blake Perkins’ first career home run was a grand slam, and everyone in the lineup collected a hit except for Owen Miller.
On the Cincinnati side starting pitcher Graham Ashcraft was tagged with all 10 earned runs, the team tallied 11 hits, 10 walks, and stole nine bases. This was the most amount of steals that they have had in a game since 1976 and was the most stolen bases allowed by the Brewers in franchise history.

Milwaukee Brewers allow franchise record nine stolen bases by Cincinnati Reds
The following players had steals for the Cincinnati Reds:
- Jake Fraley (3)
- Stuart Fairchild (1)
- Will Benson (1)
- Jonathan India (2)
- Spencer Steer (2)
Overall the Reds have been stealing a lot of bases this year. After Saturdays game they are third in the major leagues in stolen bases. Milwaukee walking 10 batters and allowing 11 hits gave them the chance to tally nine steals in this game, but credit to the Reds for executing and not getting caught once.
