The Milwaukee Brewers have plenty of reasons to rejoice over how the 2024 MLB season has panned out so far. They currently stand atop the NL Central, and it looks like they’re on the pace to finish the season strong with only a couple of games remaining in the season.
Jackson Chourio is one of the standout players who helped the Brewers rise to the top. The 20-year-old outfielder has been phenomenal ever since breaking into the starting lineup, with his excellent batting and running quickly becoming the top-most priorities for opposing Major League managers.
His performance throughout his first season in The Show already has plenty of Brewers fans excited about the team’s future. As if to make things better, he achieved something in his debut campaign that will be etched in the league’s history books.
Milwaukee Brewers’ Jackson Chourio becomes the youngest player to get 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in one season
Chourio was one of the most impressive players in the final game of the Brewers’ three-game series against the San Francisco Giants. While he only hit one of his four turns at the plate, he made it count as he smashed the ball out of right field to complete a two-RBI homer to seal the team’s 3-0 victory to win the series, 2-1.
While the homer was impressive in its own right, it saw him become the youngest player in the game’s long history to have at least 20 homers and 20 stolen bases in one season.
The Brewers celebrated the occasion on social media:

Chourio has had a phenomenal season with the Milwaukee Brewers. His .272 batting average is decent for a rookie, and his .325 OBP and .466 slugging rate give plenty of reasons for fans to be excited about his future.
With him being in the team for at least eight seasons, fans will be delighted to see him develop into an elite batter the team can rely on for years to come.
