The Milwaukee Brewers are 85-54 on the season and still hold the best record in all Major League Baseball. It is rather impressive that they have been able to accomplish this standing, given the fact that they started the season 0-4 while having the worst run differential in MLB history during that time.
But as well as they have played, overall, this season, Milwaukee has hit a bit of a rough patch. They just finished playing 19 games in the span of 18 days, a stretch that saw them go just 9-10. During that time, they saw their lead over the Chicago Cubs in the National League Central Division shrink from 8.0 to 5.0 games.
More than the lost games, though, the Brewers also lost several vital pieces of their bullpen, which has been taxed heavily this season.
The Milwaukee Brewers announce rehab updates on 4 injured relief pitchers

Unfortunately, there are multiple key members of the Brewers bullpen that are currently on the injured list. One of them, Shelby Miller, is going to be out for the year as he faces the possibility of the second Tommy John surgery of his career.
But others are expected back, whether it be sooner or later, and the Brewers provided updates on four of them on Wednesday:
Injury updates from the Brewers:
– Grant Anderson is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment on Saturday.
– DL Hall is scheduled to start plyometric work this week.
– Trevor Megill is throwing out to 120 feet and will throw a bullpen tomorrow.
– Logan Henderson is playing catch…— Jack Stern (@ByJackStern) September 3, 2025
Anderson, who has a 2.87 ERA in 57 games this season, will begin his rehab assignment on Saturday. He is currently down with right ankle tendonitis.
Hall, who missed much of the first part of the season with injury, is currently on the IL with an oblique strain. He is 1-0 with a 3.35 ERA in 19 games this season, and Milwaukee hopes he will be able to return later this month.
Megill, the All-Star closer, is out with a flexor strain and may not be available until the playoffs, if at all.
Henderson, too, is trying overcome a flexor strain of his own, and could also make a return to the Majors, but that would not happen until the playoffs, if it happens at all.
