Milwaukee Brewers Star Players Against the San Francisco Giants
Brewers manager Pat Murphy could be the National League Manager of the Year. Milwaukee is trying to catch the Philadelphia Phillies and the Los Angeles Dodgers for one of the first-round byes in the playoffs.
Shortstop Willy Adames is projected to bat fourth for Milwaukee. In 143 games played so far this season, he has a .251 batting average with 30 home runs and 101 RBIs, along with 18 stolen bases and four caught stealing attempts. His on-base percentage is .333.
Catcher William Contreras is projected to bat second for the Milwaukee Brewers. He has a .278 batting average with 21 home runs and 82 RBIs, along with six stolen bases and two caught stealing attempts. Contreras also has a .358 on-base percentage.
Aaron Civale has pitched in 10 games with the Brewers ever since being traded. He has pitched in 53.1 innings and has given up 49 hits and 25 runs. Civale has also walked 19 batters and has struck out 50 batters.
San Francisco Giants Players To Watch For
Bob Melvin is the manager for the Giants. San Francisco has played in a very difficult National League West division all season long. Three teams could very well make the playoffs in that division.
Third baseman Matt Chapman has played in 140 games this season for the San Francisco Giants. He is projected to bat fourth. Chapman has a .251 batting average with 23 home runs and 71 RBIs, along with 15 stolen bases and two caught stealing attempts. His on-base percentage is .334.
Left fielder Heliot Ramos is projected to bat second for San Francisco. He has appeared in 104 games this season. Ramos has a .273 batting average with 20 home runs and 67 RBIs, along with five stolen bases and one caught stealing attempt. His on-base percentage is .327.
Hayden Birdsong has pitched in 12 games this year for the Giants. In 12 games started and pitched, he has pitched in 52.0 innings and has given up 43 hits and 31 runs. Birdsong has also walked 35 batters and has struck out 64 batters.
The Milwaukee Brewers took 2-out-of-3 in the last series against the San Francisco Giants just two weeks ago. Milwaukee might need to win all three against San Francisco this time around just to keep pace with Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
