Milwaukee Brewers: Previewing the 2026 batting order and possible starting rotation

The Milwaukee Brewers are, once again, being underestimated by the national media and sports books. Multiple sites currently have set the Brewers’ over/under for wins in 2026 at 84.5, despite the fact that they have won 86 or more more games in nine of the last 11 seasons. One of the years in which they did not win 86 games was in 2020, in which there were only 60 games played (Milwaukee went 29-31 that year).

Undoubtedly, the recent Freddy Peralta trade to the New York Mets has something to do with the team, once again, being disrespected in this manner. That being said, aside from Peralta, the Brewers are returning just about everyone from the 2025 squad that won a Major League best 97 games last season.

Projected Milwaukee Brewers batting order in 2026

Because just about every position player from the 2025 squad is returning, it is not difficult to imagine what the 2026 batting order will look like (on most days).

    • Sal Frelick (right field)
    • Jackson Chourio (left field)
    • William Contreras (catcher)
    • Christian Yelich (designated hitter)
    • Andrew Vaughn (first base)
    • Garrett Mitchell (center field)
    • Brice Turang (second base)
    • Caleb Durbin (third base)
    • Joey Ortiz (short stop)

Chourio is easy to slot into the second spot in the batting order because that is where he was placed most of the time in 2025. The question of who should leadoff, though, has its answer based on performance.

As the leadoff hitter in 2025, Frelick hit .309/.369/.476 with nine home runs and 47 RBI. Turang, meanwhile, hit .274/.347/.422 with 10 home runs and 35 RBI in that role. That being said, the Gold Glove second baseman hit .355/.396/.591 with five home runs and 22 RBI when batting seventh.

The rest of the lineup projection is based on where the other players were usually placed in the batting order in 2025. While that offers some predictability, bettors are skeptical. Whether the Brewers will go deep into the playoffs again or else finish early and take to casino sites like https://casinosanalyzer.ca/casino-bonuses/jackpotcitycasino.com remains to be seen.

Projected Milwaukee Brewers starting rotation in 2026

Without Peralta leading the staff, the Brewers starting rotation in 2026 is going to be headlined by the following three players:

    • Brandon Woodruff
    • Quinn Priester
    • Jacob Misiorowski

Behind those three, the following players will compete for the final two spots in the five-man rotation:

    • Chad Patrick
    • Logan Henderson
    • Robert Gasser
    • Brandon Sproat
    • DL Hall
    • Carlos Rodriguez

There is still time for Milwaukee to add a veteran starting pitcher, just like they did during Spring Training last year when they signed Jose Quintana.

As it stands right now, though, these are the top starting pitchers in the organization who have a chance to make the Opening Day roster.

(Aaron Ashby is not listed because manager Pat Murphy prefers to use him out of the bullpen).
