The Milwaukee Brewers will begin a three-game series at home on Monday night against the Baltimore Orioles with first pitch scheduled for 6:40 p.m. CT. Milwaukee and Baltimore both made it to the MLB playoffs in 2024, but they are both for now projected to miss the playoffs in 2025.

The Orioles have a 15-30 record so far this season and they are in last place in the American League East. As for the Brewers, they have a 22-25 record so far this season and they are in fourth place in the National League Central. Milwaukee has a golden chance to get themselves back to .500 in this series against Baltimore.
SB Nation Previews Baltimore Orioles and Milwaukee Brewers Series

SB Nation writer Harrison Freuck wrote about the upcoming series between Baltimore and Milwaukee. The Orioles are trying to get themselves back into the win column against the Brewers, but Milwaukee is looking to gain momentum from its win on Sunday against the Minnesota Twins. Freuck said,
“The struggling Milwaukee Brewers are set to welcome a different struggling team to Milwaukee this week, as they play in their fourth consecutive interleague series. The Baltimore Orioles have had one of the most disappointing seasons in baseball to this point, culminating in the firing of manager Brandon Hyde over the weekend.
Milwaukee has salvaged the series finale of each of their last three series, going 3-6 in that stretch. On the other side, the Orioles have lost six straight games, including sweeps to the Twins and Nationals.
The Brewers’ injuries are still almost all of the pitching variety, with Brandon Woodruff, Aaron Civale, and Jose Quintana all potentially back in the fold again by the end of the month. Blake Perkins and Garrett Mitchell are the main position player injuries, with both out until at least late May.
For Baltimore, outfielders Colton Cowser and Tyler O’Neill, former Brewer catcher Gary Sánchez, and infielder Jordan Westburg are all out for this series. Relievers Andrew Kittredge and Cody Poteet, along with starters Kyle Bradish and Grayson Rodriguez, are also out
Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich are still tied for the team lead with seven homers apiece, though Rhys Hoskins has looked like the top bat so far as he’s hitting .288/.392/.446. Brice Turang is hitting .288/.366/.362 while providing speed with 12 steals, and that’s about it for Milwaukee’s offense so far. As a team, the Brewers are hitting .228/.305/.343 (.648 OPS ranks 28th) with 37 homers (tied for 27th), 198 runs (15th), and 59 steals (tied for first).”
It was not a surprise to see Baltimore fire Hyde as manager, however a lot of Orioles fans felt like they should have fired Mike Elias as the general manager, and they refused to do so for now. Elias did not re-sign former Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes in the offseason and it is one of the reasons why Baltimore’s pitching staff has fallen apart. The rebuild of the Orioles has taken step backwards.
There was a lot of pressure on Baltimore to perform and make the playoffs in 2025. At some point, it will get worse for the Orioles, and they will probably fire Elias. As for the Brewers, they lost key players this offseason like Willy Adames. Milwaukee can very well win this series against the Orioles, but Baltimore needs to end this losing streak and show some signs of life also.
