The Milwaukee Brewers pitching crew, or what’s left of it, are trying their best to hold the forth as they wait for reinforcement.

The club is currently 9-9 after the 5-0 win against the Tigers and are fourth in the National League Central standings. They occupy the top spot around a week ago but a string of losses saw them fall by several spots.
This includes blow out losses that manager Pat Murphy bemoaned.
“If we’re going to be really really good and competitive, it’s concerning that you’ve been blown out 4 times in 17 games,” he said on Monday.

Much of the struggle is attributed to their lack of prominent pitcher with key guys like Adam Civale, Brandon Woodruff, Jose Quintana, and Trevor Megill either out of the line-up or getting hurt mid-game.
The losses Murphy was referring to was the one against the Detroit Tigers wherein they went 1-9 and against the Yankees in their first series of the season.
Milwaukee Brewers facing most trying times
Logan Henderson is the latest pitcher set to debut for the team and assistant general manager GM Karl Mueller is very much welcoming him as the team definitely needs more reinforcement.
Mueller even called the past weeks the most trying time the team has had.
“We’ve had stretches like this where we’ve had to adjust, but this is pretty heavy,” he said in an interview with MLB.com.

“We have so many guys on the IL right now. This is probably the most trying stretch we’ve ever had.
He thought Henderson, who was promoted to the majors just yesterday, could make their bullpen deeper.
“We’re always trying to insulate ourselves as much as we can and layer on as much depth as possible. That’s such an important part of our offseason, just stack up Minor League free agents and other players,” he continued.
“You never think a scenario like this is going to happen, where we are already onto our ninth or 10th starter. But going back to when we got Colin Rea [in 2023] and had him eighth or ninth up, and then he got into our mix, that woke us up to, like, ‘Always add.’ If you can add, add.”
