The Milwaukee Brewers have not been known for making big splashes in either free agency or through the trade market over the years. The last time Milwaukee made a major splash for a player was when they traded for outfielder Christian Yelich when he was with the Miami Marlins.

Milwaukee this past season won the National League Central once again. The Milwaukee Brewers are still trying to find potential replacements for shortstop Willy Adames for the 2025 MLB season. Spring training for the Brewers is not far away.
Sports Illustrated Writer Patrick McAvoy Makes Bold Prediction For the Milwaukee Brewers Before the 2025 MLB Season

Patrick McAvoy of sportsillustrated.com created a bold prediction for the Milwaukee Brewers before the start of the 2025 MLB season. He said:
“Bold: Milwaukee signs Alex Bregman if he ends up landing a two or three-year deal with opt-outs
This would only happen in a perfect world. It isn’t likely by any means and isn’t going to happen unless something crazy happens. If Bregman ends up having to settle for a short-term deal with opt-outs like what Cody Bellinger got with the Chicago Cubs last year, the Brewers would fit. They are a contender and have a need at third base. Isn’t going to happen, though.”
Alex Bregman landing with the Milwaukee Brewers would be a shocker. Bregman played with the Houston Astros from 2016-2024. He is 30 years old. Alex Bregman last season with the Astros had a .260 batting average with 26 home runs and 75 RBIs, along with three stolen bases and one caught stealing attempt. His on-base percentage was .315.
Third Base Update

For now, Joey Ortiz or Caleb Duran will be the starting third baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers next season. Alex Bregman would be a major upgrade for the Brewers next season and a huge loss for the Astros.
It would be interesting to see what kind of contract Bregman would sign. There is a chance that he could sign a four-year deal worth $120 million. That seems like it could be out of the Milwaukee Brewers range, but there is a chance that they would need some opt-out options in this contract also.
