The Milwaukee Brewers are looking at all options to improve the roster this offseason. There have not been many moves made this MLB offseason, the Brewers are looking to make a run in the postseason in 2025. They have won the National League Central the last two seasons.
Another MLB team that is looking to make moves this offseason is the Philadelphia Phillies. The Phillies also won the National League East a season ago.
Fansided Makes Mock Trade That Sends Philadelphia Phillies Third Baseman Alec Bohm To the Milwaukee Brewers
The Phillies could very well be trading third baseman Alec Bohm this offseason. If they were to trade him this offseason, the Brewers could be one of the teams who would very well be interested in him. Reviewingthebrew.com writer Eric Cole created a trade that would send Bohm to the Phillies for Devin Williams and prospects.
Williams is also on the trade block for the Milwaukee Brewers. Cole said:
“Given that Bohm is going to be a bit pricey in arbitration which raises some questions as to how long Milwaukee would actually keep him and he comes with some character questions, the Brewers should avoid including any of their better prospects along with Williams in a potential trade. However, a quantity over quality trade could do the trick. Picking two of Brock Wilken, Bishop Letson, and/or Brett Wichrowski would give the Phillies some upside to work with in addition to Williams without completely mortgaging Milwaukee’s future.
Would that be enough to convince the Phillies? Potentially. They really could use a guy like Williams in their bullpen and while Bohm is a very valuable trade asset, making Bohm so publicly available doesn’t help Philly from a leverage perspective. This might be the best deal for them especially when it comes to helping them during their current competitive window.”
It would be interesting to see if the Milwaukee Brewers would move off of Brock Wilken for Alec Bohm. He is one of the highly rated prospects in the Brewers farm system.
Alec Bohm Stats
Assuming Willy Adames does not re-sign with the Milwaukee Brewers, they will need to find a replacement. Joey Ortiz or Brice Turang would move to shortstop, which would mean they would probably have to find a third baseman. This is why Alec Bohm is being mentioned in trade rumors to the Brewers.
Last season with the Philadelphia Phillies, .280 batting average with 15 home runs and 97 RBIs, along with five stolen bases and two caught stealing attempts. Bohm also had a .332 on-base percentage. Alec Bohm would be a nice fit in the Milwaukee Brewers lineup if they traded for him and he is only 28 years old also.
