Brewers Announce Acquisition of Former Minor League Pitcher of The Year
Announced via the club’s official Twitter account, the Brewers announced the acquisition of pitcher, Joseph Hernandez in a trade with the Seattle Mariners. The Brew Crew will be sending reliever, Justin Topa to the Mariners in exchange for Hernandez.

What Will The Brewers Be Getting In Joseph Hernandez?
In four seasons in the minor leagues, Joseph Hernandez has competed in the Dominican Summer League as well as the California League. Hernandez was named the 2022 California League Pitcher of The Year following last season’s campaign, where he went 9-5 with a 3.39 ERA with the Modesto Nuts.

Justin Topa’s Career With The Brewers
Justin Topa made his way to Milwaukee prior to the 2020 season and spent three seasons with the Brewers, appearing in just 17 games, compiling a lackluster 8.35 earned run average to go along with a single hold and zero saves in his two save opportunities.
