For Rowdy Tellez, this was his first home run of the 2023 season. Third baseman Brian Anderson, hit a long ball the day prior so he now has home runs on consecutive days. Outfielder Garrett Mitchell’s home run was also his first of the year.
Those three home runs in the sixth inning extended the Brewers lead to five runs. In addition to the five runs, Milwaukee roughed up Max Scherzer to the tune of eight hits and two walks. Scherzer struck out just two batters during 5.1 innings pitched.
