The Milwaukee Brewers 1982 team is reportedly having a documentary series filmed on them. “Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers” is being worked on by Kelly Kahl, formerly of CBS Entertainment, and Sean Hanish + Paul Jaconi-Biery of Cannonball Productions.
Sean Hanish, an alum of the University of Madison, grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin and attended over 60 games in 1982 as a 14-year-old boy. He not only is a producer in the documentary series, but he will get to hear and share stories from some of his favorite players from a team that lost in game seven of the World Series. To date, that is the franchise’s only World Series appearance.
Which players and staff will be featured in the documentary series highlighting the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers?
Players that reportedly participated in the docuseries include Bob Uecker, Robin Yount, Ted Simmons, Paul Molitor, Rollie Fingers, Bud Selig, Pete Vuckovich, Cecil Cooper, and Gorman Thomas. The title “Just a Bit Outside” comes from a line that Uecker made famous in the movie “Major League”.

Hanish had glowing remarks about the production of the documentary series in which he said, “Being able to meet my boyhood idols and hear them open up about the highs and lows of that season, and their intimate connection to each other, and to Brewer fans, is the culmination of a boyhood dream that I’m thrilled to share with sports lovers everywhere”.
