Mike McCarthy’s Emotional Response To Returning To Green Bay:
I mean the lifestyle in Dallas Texas is incredible. This has been an incredible opportunity for us as a family. But you know, Jessica was born there (Green Bay), kids were born there… *emotional chuckle followed by a laugh.* So people, I miss the people.
“This is bulls***,” McCarthy said, during one question about what he misses most about his wife and daughters’ birthplace. “You guys are trying to make me cry.”

Mike McCarthy had a legendary run in Green Bay, even if it didn’t end on the best note. He finished his head coaching career in Green Bay with a record of 125-77-2 (.618) in the regular season. His postseason record in Green Bay was 10-8. Mike McCarthy led the team to nine playoff appearances. His biggest accomplishment in Green Bay was winning Super Bowl XLV on February 6th, 2011 vs the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Packers will forever be indebted to what McCarthy brought to Green Bay, however this weekend, he is the enemy.
