Green Bay Packers receive horrific Micah Parsons update from sports doctor

The Green Bay Packers were trailing the Denver Broncos 34-26 late in the third quarter, but the outcome of the game felt like an afterthought after star pass-rusher Micah Parsons had to exit the game with a knee injury.

Parsons was attempting to disrupt a pass play with under a minute to go in the third quarter. However he stopped his attack, jumped up in the air, and grabbed his right knee.

Per well-known sports doctor David J. Chao, Parsons likely suffered an ACL injury.

“Apparent bad news from the sic score war room,” Chao said in a video posted to X. “Micah Parson’s awkward step with the left knee, it buckles–non contact injury. The knee appears to shift. By video, this is a left knee ACL tear until proven otherwise.

“Really hope to be wrong that the video lies, but that is the clear concern and expectation right now for the Packers star in week 15.

Green Bay Packers need Micah Parsons for the postseason

If Chao’s diagnosis is correct, Parsons would be out for the rest of the season and could miss the start of the 2026 campaign. That’s bad news for Green Bay, who appeared to be one of the best team’s in the NFC after making a trade with the Cowboys for Parsons.

Parsons entered the game with 12.5 sacks. But he does more for the defense than just recording sacks. Opposing offensive lines have to plan for him, and he often takes double or triple teams.

Green Bay still has plenty of talent to remain competitive for a playoff run, but the juice won’t be as potent without Parsons.
