Miami Dolphins sign a former Packers player
The Miami Dolphins are set to have one of the more exciting offenses in the NFL next season. It will include a former Green Bay Packers player as the Dolphins look to improve on their 2022 season. The Dolphins made a run into the playoffs but ultimately fell short in the Wild Card round to the Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins have made several recent signings for the backfield, including at running back, and they will retain their fullback for 2023.
According to Jeremy Fowler with ESPN, the Dolphins will sign John Lovett to a one-year deal.

Lovett, a Super Bowl winner with the Kansas City Chiefs, played with the Packers during the 2020 season. He appeared in eight games for the Packers. Lovett had three carries for six yards while at Green Bay. Those are his only rushing stats in the NFL. Lovett was cut by the Packers in March of 2021 and signed by the Dolphins in 2022.
According to WSH Media Files, Lovett was a former quarterback in college for Princeton:
“Lovett was a quarterback during his college days at Princeton. As a hybrid quarterback, he also saw playing time as a running back, wide receiver, and, occasionally, punter.”
The Chiefs were going to use him as a tight end. The Packers and Miami Dolphins have used Lovett as a fullback.
