The Packers dropped their fourth straight on Sunday night against the Bills. The offense had some promising moments and the defense got a couple of takeaways. One player who did not have a good night was rookie linebacker, Quay Walker. He was ejected in the first half after shoving a Bills coach on the sideline. After the game, Matt LaFleur sounded off on Quay Walker and his behavior on the sideline.
Matt LaFleur Sounds Off On Quay Walker
Matt LaFleur said Quay Walker’s ejection in the second quarter is something that he has zero tolerance for. “Mistakes are going to happen in this game,” he said, “but losing your cool, losing your poise, putting the team in jeopardy — we’ve got no tolerance for that.”

LaFleur understands mistakes are going to happen. He has no tolerance for the type of error Quay Walker made. LaFleur said that mistakes are going to happen but “losing your cool, losing your poise, putting the team in jeopardy – we’ve got no tolerance for that.” Walker has made many mistakes throughout the season but also has played well overall for a rookie. This was a game where they really could have used his talent especially after De’Vondre Campbell went down with an injury. Instead, he lost his cool and got himself ejected. Clearly, Matt LaFleur is very frustrated with Quay Walker.
Opportunity For Someone Else?
These are some strong words from Matt LaFleur. He really did not appreciate Walker’s behavior on the Bills’ sideline. On the field, mistakes have a limited impact but there is no telling the impact this mistake had on the game. What is the fallout from this? LaFleur seems to indicate that there may be consequences. Does Walker lose his starting job to another linebacker? That seems to be a possibility as both backup linebackers played fairly well tonight all things considered. This will be something to watch this week.
This looked like a classic case of frustration boiling over. Quay Walker let his emotions get the best of him and it cost him and his team. Right now, it is the heat of the moment and LaFleur is upset after another loss. It will be interesting to hear what Matt LaFleur has to say about Quay Walker later in the week.

That wasn’t a coach. It was a bills practice squad tight end. He shouldn’t have been ejected for that, simply nectar out want a coach. Honestly that wasn’t even with of a penalty.
Quay looks like a draft miss at this point. Patrick Queen was the player to get back in 2020 instead of Love.
