The Marquette Golden Eagles are preparing for the 2024-2025 college basketball season, but head coach Shaka Smart is always trying to recruit the best basketball players possible for his program. Marquette has been one of the best teams in the BIG East Conference for the last two seasons because of the type of talent he has coached and developed.

The Marquette Golden Eagles have rarely lost players to the transfer portal and they have rarely used the transfer portal. This is the kind of dedication that head coach Shaka Smart has for his program by building it from the ground up.
Marquette Golden Eagles and Head Coach Shaka Smart Offers Class Of 2027 Forward/Guard Jack Kohken

On Monday, Slinger High School basketball player Jack Kohken announced on his Twitter that he received an offer from the Marquette Golden Eagles and head coach Shaka Smart. He is a 6’6″ guard/forward. Marquette was the latest team to give him an offer. The other team who gave him an offer as of right now was the Iowa State Cyclones.
It would not be a surprise to see the Wisconsin Badgers offer him something at some point. This will be a player that Marquette and Smart will keep a close eye on over the next year or two.

He is not ranked in the ESPN Top 25 for the class of 2027, but it could be possible when the time gets closer to that graduation year, Jack Kohken could very well land in the ESPN Top 100 for the class of 2027. The Marquette Golden Eagles are looking toward the future along with potentially having another big season ahead.
