Seton Hall Pirates may be below in the Big East standings but Marquette Golden Eagles coach Shaka Smarts warns his team that it will not be easy when they meet on Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles pay the Pirates a visit as they try to recover from their recent loss to the Xavier University Musketeers that saw them go down to no. 10 in the AP Top 25 ranking.
The team suffered from slow start in the last two games. Although they somehow escaped DePaul via an 85-83 win after the overtime period, they failed to do it again versus Xavier where they were held to just 57 points.
The team also surrendered an 11-point deficit in the first half of that game.
Smart expects a serious challenge from their hosts.

“Now we need to understand that to start the game, whether it’s because we have Marquette on our jersey or whether it’s because of what our guys have done earlier in the season, teams are going to have a burning desire,” Smart said ahead of their game versus Seton Hall.
“I mean they’re going to come in here with their hair on fire, or if we go to their place, they’re going to have their hair on fire.”
Shaka Smart continues to be optimistic on team
Although last week’s loss to Xavier saw them surrender the no. 1 spot in the Big East to St. John Redstorm, Smart is not too bothered.
Instead, he commended his players for their effort to make a comeback against a team that they have beaten before.

“I did think our guys showed incredible character, resilency, fight, the stubborn mentality of not giving up,” he said post game.
The Marquette Golden Eagles are currently an overwhelming favorite against Seton Hall.
