The #15 Marquette Golden Eagles are looking to stay undefeated with a game against the Maryland Terrapins on the road on Friday night. The tip-off for this contest will be at 7 p.m. CT on Fox Sports. Marquette and Maryland are both 3-0 this season.
The Terrapins are looking to beat one of the top teams in the country early on in the college basketball season. This will be the first true road game of the season for Marquette.
Players To Watch For On the Marquette Golden Eagles Against the Maryland Terrapins
Head coach Shaka Smart has had different leading scorers through the first three games of the 204-2025 college basketball season for the Marquette Golden Eagles. Stevie Mitchell led Marquette in the last game against the Central Michigan Chippewas in scoring with 17 points. He also grabbed one rebound and recorded two assists.
Kam Jones and Chase Ross each scored 12 points in the last game. Ben Gold also added 10 points for the Golden Eagles. Earlier in the week, Terrapins center Derik Queen called out Ben Gold in a press conference.

It will be interesting to see how Ben Gold responds to the challenge. The Maryland Terrapins have not played a tough opponent like the Marquette Golden Eagles yet.
Players To Watch For On Maryland
Kevin Willard is in his third season as head coach of the Terrapins. They will look to make a statement against the Golden Eagles on Friday night. Julian Reese scored 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and recorded two assists for Maryland in the last game against Florida A&M.
Selton Miguel scored 14 points, grabbed two rebounds, and recorded two assists. Ja’Kobi Gillespie scored 12 points, grabbed five rebounds, and recorded one assist in the last game for the Maryland Terrapins. Derik Queen scored 11 points and Rodney Rice also added 10 points in the last game they played.
Maryland had five players score in double figures. The Marquette Golden Eagles can’t afford to get off to a slow start against the Terrapins. They will end up in the loss column instead of the win column if they don’t take this game seriously from the opening tip-off.
