The #15 Marquette Golden Eagles are looking to repeat Tuesday night’s performance when they face the unranked Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday in the Bahamas at Imperial Arena for the Battle of Atlantis. This game will tip-off on Saturday at 10 a.m. CT.
Marquette is 5-0 this season and so is Georgia, but the Bulldogs are not ranked in the Top 25. This could be a potential letdown game for the Golden Eagles if they are not careful.
Players To Watch For On the Marquette Golden Eagles Against the Georgia Bulldogs
The Golden Eagles are coming off their biggest win of the season on Tuesday against the #6 Purdue Boilermakers. Kam Jones recorded a triple-double in the last game for Marquette. He scored 17 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and recorded 10 assists. Stevie Mitchell led the way for Shaka Smart’s squad with 21 points, two rebounds, and four steals.
Chase Ross scored 12 points, grabbed five rebounds, and recorded two assists. Ben Gold also added 11 points and five rebounds for the Marquette Golden Eagles. Marquette is very deep this season.
Players To Watch For On the Bulldogs
Georgia is coached by Mike White and they are a team that could very well be improved from a season ago. In the last game against Alabama A&M Bulldogs, the Bulldogs had four different players score in double figures. Asa Newell led the way for the Georgia Bulldogs with 17 points and he also grabbed six rebounds and recorded two assists.
Silas Demary Jr. scored 15 points, Tyrin Lawrence scored 12 points, and Somto Cyril also added 11 points, and grabbed nine rebounds for Georgia in the last game. If the Georgia Bulldogs upset the Marquette Golden Eagles on Saturday, there is a chance that they could be in the Top 25 rankings come Monday. If not, then Marquette will probably enter the Top 10 in the Top 25 polls.
