The Marquette Golden Eagles’ 2026 is looking brighter by the day as they sealed a second commitment for that batch from Sheek Pearson. It is their second commitment in just a week after they signed 6’6 forward Ethan Johnston last week.
Pearson is regarded as a blue chip player who also had offers from great programs. Among them are Purdue Boilermakers, Iowa State Cyclones, and Illinois Fighting Illini.
The 6’11 said he chose Marquette because of its history of developing players.
“I chose Marquette because the way they recruited me and showed interest was different than that of any other school,” he said as quoted by college sports site On3
“Coach Shaka [Smart] and the staff have gained my trust based off of how great they develop players and how they’ve developed players in the past.”

Pearson could emerge as a go to big man in the future for the Golden Eagles as Ben Gold is set to play his last college year this season.
What will Marquette Golden Eagles get from Pearson?
Pearso is highly-touted recruit from high school. He is the 79th overall nationally in On3’s Top-150 Player Rankings. He is also the 11 center in that ranking and the no. 1 in his state Missouri.
He is regarded as an efficient player with high situational awareness. He averaged over 13 points last season, under 70 percent from the three.
Pearson thinks he can be a floor stretcher for Shaka Smart.

“I would say my play style is blocking shots, rim running, and finishing with a good touch, mid range and the ability to stretch the floor as well,” he said.
“I’m looking forward the my time at Marquette and can promise great things during my time.”
